| Workshop: Workshop on Mobile Commerce Technology and Services (MCTS'08) | ||||||||
Scopes As an IEEE CS conference, CIT has become a major platform for researchers and industry practitioners from different fields of computer and information technology. Mobile Commerce Technology and Services (MCTS'08) is a subgroup of IEEE CIT 2008 conference specializing in m-commerce technology and services. Using the Internet from wireless devices has come to be known as mobile commerce, and encompasses many more activities than merely online purchasing. M-commerce is a research area of growing importance, encompassing several areas of theoretical and practical importance. In spite of the seemingly unlimited potential to drive new applications and markets, new security and privacy risks particular to the wireless medium and devices abound in m-commerce applications. The purpose of workshop is to bring together researchers, engineers and practitioners interested in methods and applications in the context of trust management in m-commerce applications and architectures. The aim of the workshop is to provide a forum for cross-disciplinary investigation of the application of trust as a means of establishing trust in the m-commerce infrastructure, recognizing trust as a crucial enabler for meaningful and mutually beneficial interactions. The proposed workshop will bring together researchers with a keen interest of complementary aspects of trust, from both in terms of technology as well as social aspects. Papers describing new methods or technologies, advanced prototypes, systems, tools and techniques and general survey papers invoking future directions are also encouraged. Papers describing original work are invited in any of the areas listed below. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance and originality. Both full research reports and work-in-progress reports are welcome. There will be both oral presentations and poster sessions. Paper Submission Papers should be in the IEEE CS single-space double-column format up to six pages. Prospective authors must submit an electronic copy (in Acrobat PDF format) of their complete manuscript directly to the workshop organizer Dr Fahim Akhter at fahim.akhter@zu.ac.ae. The submission email should be entitled "MCTS'08". MCTS'08 welcomes papers that focus on novel solutions on m-commerce applications, methods, issues, threats, services and architectures. Topics of interests include, but are not limited to:
Each submission will be reviewed by at least three reviewers from the program committee members and external reviewers for originality, significance, clarity, soundness, relevance and technical contents. Accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society in proceedings of CIT 2008. The papers will be included in IEEE digital library and indexed by EI. Selected papers will be invited to submit to a special issue in an international journal after conference. Important Dates:
