Session: Database and Data mining (DD'08)

Scopes
IEEE the 8th International Conference on Information Technology and Applications (CIT2008) is an IEEE supported international conference. DD'08 is a subgroup of CIT2008 conference specializing in Data-base and Data mining. Outstanding paper(s) will be selected to be published in a special issue of an interna-tional Journal after conference.

We are pleased to invite you to participate in this event, which provides an excellent opportunity for researchers, academics, industry specialists, practitioners & students interested in the advances in the subject areas. This special session - DD'08 aims to cover the following topics but not limited to the follow-ing research subjects and/or technique areas.

Application areas in:
Information retrieval, User interface design, Electronic commerce, Computer mediated collaboration, Computer games, Education and training, Smart environments, Ubiquitous computers, Mobile computing, Social simulation, Robotics, Engineering etc.

Theories, methods, tools and technologies in:
Machine learning, Automated scientific discovery, Statistics, Pattern recog-nition, Knowledge acquisition, Soft computing, Database and data ware-housing, Data visualization, Knowledge-based systems, XML database etc.

Paper Submission and Publications:
Contributions will be reviewed by at least three reviewers from program committee members and external reviewers for originality, significance, clarity, soundness, relevance and technical contents on basis of papers. The length of the Camera-Ready papers (if accepted) will be limited to 6 (IEEE style) pages.
