| Session: Image- and Video-based Pattern Analysis and Applications (IVPAA'08) | ||||||||
Scopes: IEEE the 8th International Conference on Information Technology and Applications (CIT2008) is an IEEE supported international conference. IVPAA'08 is a subgroup of CIT2008 conference specializing in Image- and Video-based Pattern Analysis and Applications. Image- and video-based pattern analysis methods have started migrating from academic institutions to industrial laboratories, and onward into deployable systems, and have become increasingly important in real world systems for commercial, industrial and military applications. The goal of this event is to bring together worldwide academic and industrial researchers working on image/video analysis for pattern recognition applications to present their latest research results and commercialization activities and to discuss and exchange their ideas with other participants. We are soliciting original contributions which address a wide range of theoretical and application issues in vision-based pattern analysis and applications. The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
Papers should be in the IEEE CS single-space double-column format up to six pages. Prospective authors must submit an electronic copy (in Acrobat PDF format) of their complete manuscript directly to the session organizer Dr Xin Geng (xge@deakin.edu.au). The submission email should be entitled "IVPAA'08". Publication: Each submission will be reviewed by at least three reviewers from the program committee members and external reviewers for originality, significance, clarity, soundness, relevance and technical contents. Accepted papers will be published by IEEE Computer Society in proceedings of CIT 2008. The papers will be included in IEEE digital library and indexed by EI. Selected papers will be invited to submit to special issue, PA&HCI, in Pattern Recognition Letters and special issue, Video Analysis and Understanding for Surveillance Applications, in International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence after conference.
